My symbol

Culture: Irish, German, english and italian at heart
Intrests: Sports:soccer,basketball,broomball, riding, art, cooking, music, fashion,
intravert, love to be outdoors,

My symbol is a combination of all of this list. The symbol I designed shows my love of nature with the floral shape and the green which is also a symbol of my irish background. I made my symbol to be like celtic art the symbol has no begining and no end.

My Symbol

Symbol: Symbols are representations of one thing that means another.
Culture: A group of people that share the same beliefs and values.

 The egyptain eye is a symbol of the sun God also known as Horus or The udgat.The gold in the symbol represents the sun and the part branching from the eyelid is actually the egyptian symbol for sun.

Ancient Chinese symbol the Yin-Yang symbolizes harmony and balance, darkness and light , male and female, Good and Bad. The Representation is very clear with the balance of the opposites and how they are equal and never ending in a circle.

The pentagram was used by the followers of the Greek mathematician Pythagoras and by astrologers and necromancers in the Middle Ages. Together with the sign of the cross, it came to be used on doorways and thresholds as a charm to keep away witches and evil spirits, and it still continues to be employed by occult societies. The pentagram should be formed without a break in the drawing.

An irish symbol of loyalty, friendship, and love. When on a ring the crown facing outward may mean that your in a relationship and when the crown faces down the heart is faceing outward and open to people.  the Crown represents taken and the open heart means single open to a new relationship.

                                                    Universal symbol of love, affection, spiritual, moral and emotional. The shape of the human internal organ. The feeling of love and affection comes from our internal core(heart) hence the shape of the symbol.

                                        

                                           Symbol of remembrance:poppy a poppy is a symbol of all the soldiers we lost in war they were barried in flanders field where the poppies grow and prosper.  

all the symbols that i have chosen are all similair in that they are circular and their shapes . they are simple shapes with two or more uniform colours.

Enviromental entropy

What I like about this image is that it is very clear and I really like I I made the my life graffiti showing that the statues life is the court and he can no longer play on it because the ground is unstable I also like the caution tape wrapping around the statue because it also shows his ability to no longer play the sport he loves.




What I don’t like is that in areas of the image are really dark it helps set the mood but it is to much in places so that you can’t clearly read the text. The sign is sort of hidden or shown less significantly than I wanted.



If I had more time I would add images of people playing basketball in a ghost like way I would also make the sign stand out more so that my message was more clear.
